PricingPriced for stair businesses,
not enterprise budgets.
StairBiz is one main programme with two optional specialist modules. Every business is different. A demo lets us understand exactly what your operation needs and put together the right licensing package for you.
here's what you're gettingWhat the investment covers
One comprehensive system
Every stage of a stair job: design, specification, estimating, quoting, CNC, production, scheduling, invoicing - runs through one connected system. The job that starts as a design ends as a paid invoice without re-entering a detail along the way.
Licenses that move with your team
V10 licences are concurrent, not tied to a device or a person. Anyone on your team can use any licence, on any device, from the office, the workshop, or a site visit. You're not buying seats for computers, you're buying access for your business.
CNC output that pays for itself
If you have CNC machinery, the CNC module generates production-ready files directly from the design. No conversion, no re-entry, no operator rebuilding profiles from scratch. The average client processes and exports all CNC for a job in under two minutes.
Quoting that takes minutes, not hours
A quote that used to take 45 minutes to an hour takes five minutes in StairBiz.
If you're quoting ten jobs a week, that's almost a workday returned to your business every single week, before you've touched production.
Pricing that’s been stable for 25 years
StairBiz pricing hasn't moved significantly in a quarter century. The businesses that bought in early paid essentially the same as the businesses buying today. This is no accident, it's a deliberate commitment to keeping the software accessible for the trade..
Your Questions, Answered
-
Like most professional software platforms, StairBiz runs on an annual licence model. You pay annually to use the software, receive updates, and stay connected to the platform. Specific pricing is discussed on a demo call.
-
StairBiz Professional is the foundation of the system, and for most stair businesses, it's where the majority of the value lives.
It includes design and 3D visualisation, specification, client management, job tracking, scheduling, accounts, and inventory.
From the moment a job is created to the moment it's invoiced, Professional handles the full commercial lifecycle of your stair business. Everything else builds on top of it.
-
The Estimating module adds automatic costing and quoting to the design you've already created in Professional.
Materials, labour, overheads, profit, discounts, and tax are all calculated automatically the moment the design is done. The client quote goes out in your format, with everything already filled in. It also includes take-offs: the conversion of your cutting list into part numbers and prices from your parts database.
Most StairBiz clients use this module. If you're currently pricing jobs from a spreadsheet, this is the one that changes your day the most.
-
The CNC module takes the design created in Professional and places the stair components onto a simulated CNC bed, then exports directly to your machine.
Compatible with all popular 3, 4, and 5-axis machines. The average client processes and exports all CNC files for a job in under two minutes. About 70% of StairBiz clients run this module.
If you have CNC machinery, this is what drives it.
-
Not necessarily. Professional is the only non-negotiable; nothing else works without it.
Estimating and CNC are optional additions depending on your operation. If you price jobs manually and have no CNC machinery, Professional on its own covers a significant amount of ground.
A demo is the fastest way to understand which combination makes sense for your business.
-
Second and subsequent Professional, Estimating, and CNC licences are available at half the price of the first.
Receptionist licences, for non-design staff who need view and scheduling access, are flat-priced regardless of quantity.
CNC licences are priced per machine, not per user, so adding operators doesn't add cost.
-
V10 uses concurrent licensing, which means licences aren't tied to a specific person or device.
Anyone on your team can log in from any device, whether they're in the office, on the workshop floor, or out on a site visit.
The only rule is that two people can't use the same licence at the same time. If you need two people working simultaneously, you need two licences - at half price for the second one.
-
It depends on your business and your team's familiarity with software, but most businesses are running real jobs through StairBiz within their first week.
Installation and training happen together, so you're learning by doing rather than sitting through a manual.
The most variable part is the Estimating module, where getting your pricing model set up correctly takes time to do properly. We'll give you an honest estimate of what onboarding typically looks like for a business your size on the demo call.
-
We don't offer a self-serve trial. What we offer instead is a demo with you: StairBiz running on a real job, with your questions answered in real time by someone who knows the software. Book one and see.
-
Yes - with real people and real responses. Installation and training are delivered by the StairBiz team directly, not outsourced or automated.
Once you're up and running, ongoing support is available on a time-and-materials basis.
We've been supporting stair businesses for over 30 years. We're not going anywhere.
-
That's a fair concern. Stair software has not had a good track record. Expensive programmes that were too difficult to learn went in the bottom drawer, and never came out.
StairBiz was built differently, by someone who was actually in the stair trade. It was built by a stair builder who got frustrated enough to automate his own business.
The result is software that works the way stair builders think, not the way software developers assume they think.
Most businesses are running real jobs through it within their first week. We also don't ask you to go live until you're confident - the migration and setup process is designed so there are no surprises on the day you switch.
-
No new hardware required. StairBiz V10 runs in a browser - Chrome, Edge, Safari, or our own dedicated browser.
If you can browse the internet, you can run StairBiz. It works on desktops, laptops, and tablets. Any computer purchased in the last several years will handle it without issue.
-
Installation and training are charged at an hourly rate. The time required varies depending on your setup and your team's familiarity with the software.
Ongoing support is available on a time-and-materials basis. A demo will give a clear picture of what onboarding typically looks like for a business of your size.
-
Migration from V9 to V10 is a supported process. We run your existing data through our migration system, rebuild your custom sheets, and give you time to evaluate V10 using your own jobs before you commit to the switch.
You don't go live until you're confident everything is working exactly as it should. Upgrade pricing is discussed directly. Get in touch and we'll walk you through what the process looks like for your business specifically.

Book a demo. We show you the software running on a real job, walk you through which modules make sense for your operation, and discuss pricing before you commit to anything.
